Disney and Lucasfilm will begin production on the untitled Star Wars Han Solo prequel early next year. Alden Ehrenreich will play everyone’s favorite scoundrel from a galaxy far, far away. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story held its panel at the Star Wars Celebration today. Among the things shown at the presentation is a new behind-the-scenes sizzle reel. Titled the “Celebration Reel,” the three-minute featurette consists of interviews with cast and crew members, as well as teases of the film’s action and practical effects.

Just yesterday, fans were able to bring The Force Awakens home after its long awaited home-video release. Today, fans were treated to a healthy update on the upcoming spin-off film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, via a quick but stunning teaser for the trailer. We see Stormtroopers among ruins of sorts, with a roaring fire blazing in the background. The search for an actor to portray that iconic character Han Solo has been a large and complicated endeavor. Over 2,500 actors were considered for the role of the famous scoundrel. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney and LucasFilm have shortened their list of actors who could possibly wear the vest.
The franchise was thought dead after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull but evidently not! Disney has announced today that a fifth Indiana Jones movie is in the works. Director Steven Spielberg returns to direct the film, and actor Harrison Ford returns as titular character. Continue reading
