Legendary Pictures Officially Acquires ‘Pokémon’ Live Action Film Rights

‘Pacific Rim 2’ Removed From Universal’s Release Schedule

Despite underwhelming box office results, a sequel to Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim was announced last year. A release date of April 2017 was announced, with Universal taking over from Warner Bros. as distributor for the Legendary Pictures production. The release date was later moved to August of that year, and recently, there has been a delay in production. In fact, the studio was reportedly putting the follow-up on hold indefinitely.
