Most recently, he put his life on the line (multiple times) shooting Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and has also starred in big budget action movies like Edge of Tomorrow, Oblivion, and Jack Reacher. While Cruise is currently shooting Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and Mission: Impossible 6 soon after, he will be re-teaming with Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman for the sci-fi thriller Luna Park.

Channing Tatum is attached to star as the titular character and it appears the search for a new director is down to just three. According to HeroicHollywood, it is down to Shane Black (Iron Man 3), Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow), and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block).
