Doug Liman Will Direct DC’s ‘Dark Universe’, Drops Out of ‘Gambit’

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything on Warner Bros.Justice League Dark film, titled Dark Universe. Guillermo del Toro was attached to direct for a few years, but he eventually dropped out. Since then, we’ve heard a slew of director and casting rumors for the DC movie. In the meantime, an animated movie starring the supernatural team was announced for a 2017 release.

Ray Fisher’s Cyborg Will Appear in ‘The Flash’ Movie

‘Man of Steel’ Sequel Officially Enters Active Development at Warner Bros.

Back when Man of Steel was released in 2013, Warner Bros. confirmed plans for a sequel. This sequel was later revealed to be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In addition to that film, Henry Cavill‘s Superman will appear in the two Justice League movies.

WB confirmed in 2014 that a standalone Man of Steel sequel will happen within the 2016-2020 timeframe. Since then, we haven’t heard anything about Superman’s solo future…until now. Continue reading

I think it’s pretty fair to say that superhero movies are the most popular films of today. So with any popular topic, the subversion of said topic is also going to be popular. A few years back, after the widely known success of the first Marvel-hero team-up film, studios said, “Hey, what if we made hero team-up movies, BUT (!!) it was villains instead!?!” Thus Sony sprouted the idea of a Sinister Six film, and Warner Bros. decided to add a Suicide Squad adaptation to their universe’s line-up. First Trailer for ‘Wonder Woman’ Officially Released

At San Diego Comic-Con today, Warner Bros. showcased next year’s Wonder Woman movie. Included at the panel is the film’s first official trailer. The footage gives us a great look at Diana Prince in action, promising a wonderful (pun intended) addition to the DC Extended Universe.

‘Aquaman’ Recruits Will Beall to Write Latest Script

Back in 2014, Warner Bros. hired Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad to write two competing scripts for Aquaman, in a dual-track format. Johnstad later landed the job, before David Leslie Johnson was hired to rewrite the draft. Now, Beall is returning to the DC film.
