Directed by Yimou Zhang, The Great Wall is actually not a Donald Trump documentary, but a monster movie centered around the building of the Great Wall of China. The first trailer for Mel Gibson‘s Hacksaw Ridge has hit the web. Gibson, not exactly fresh off of 2006’s Apocalypto, will finally be returning to the director’s chair to direct this World War II drama starring Andrew Garfield. Like him as a person or not, Gibson has proven that he can not only act, but direct, winning Best Director back in 1995 for Braveheart (which also own Best Picture). Night Shyamalan, the director who Newsweek once infamously declared “the next Spielberg” after The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs, had been in a bit of a rut with disasters like Lady in the Water, The Happening, The Last Airbender. Last year, however, the Shyamalan of old seemed to make a return with last year’s chiller The Visit (click here for our review), and now he’s looking to start up a winning streak with another thriller titled Split, which stars James McAvoy.
