Liam Neeson is a Tree Monster in New Trailer for J.A. Bayona’s ‘A Monster Calls’

After an intriguing teaser back in November of last year, we have finally gotten a full length trailer for A Monster Calls. Directed by J.A. Bayona, the film is based off of the book by Patrick Ness which follows a young boy who uses fantasy as an escape from his reality. Liam Neeson is the titular monster and the film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, and introduces Lewis MacDougall. A visually spectacular drama from acclaimed director Juan Antonio Bayona (“The Impossible”), based on the award-winning children’s fantasy novel. 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith.

A Monster Calls hits theaters on October 14, 2016.
