With production set to begin within the next couple weeks, Spider-Man: Homecoming is in the process of finalizing its cast. The Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures collaboration stars Tom Holland as ol’ Webhead, with Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover and Robert Downey Jr. among the supporting cast. Now, the film is looking to cast another villain.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prometheus actor Logan Marshall-Green is in talks to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. With Michael Keaton set to play the film’s main villain (likely Vulture), Marshall-Green is playing a secondary antagonist. His exact character is unknown, though The Tinkerer has been rumored for this movie. Spider-Man has one of the biggest rogues galleries in comics, rivaled only by Batman. There is no shortage of characters for Marshall-Green to play.
Additionally, Deadline reveals that Silicon Valley alum Martin Starr has also joined Spider-Man: Homecoming. Again, his character is unknown. But with production starting soon, it won’t be long until we hear some official details. Stay tuned.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7th, 2017.
