After his stellar appearance in this year’s Captain America: Civil War, the excitement for the next Spider-Man movie has greatly increased. Titled Spider-Man: Homecoming, the film is set for a summer 2017 release date with production beginning fairly soon. Casting is still under way and now, JoBlo has the scoop regarding the villains and costumes in the film.
It was speculated that Michael Keaton was in talks to play the villainous Vulture in the film and while Keaton is no longer attached, the site confirms that the Vulture WILL be the main villain. But he won’t be alone. JoBlo continues to say that The Tinkerer will aid Vulture and even build his wing suit from “recovered Chitauri tech from the Battle of New York”.
From one suit to another, the site also claims that the titular hero himself will get a new suit. While Tony Stark helped create one for Civil War, he will apparently make modifications to the suit in his appearance in the film. “Stark will also be supplying the classic Web Wings from the comics that will be able to deploy as needed.” So it appears that the suit will become even more similar to Steve Ditko’s original design.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
