A new trailer for the third installment in ‘The Purge’ series, The Purge: Election Year has commenced. The first ‘Purge’ movie was a home invasion thriller that dropped in 2013 and the second, The Purge: Anarchy was essentially an action movie, and that hit theaters the next year in 2014. Now, we have Election Year which appears to be a political thriller with a good deal of sadistic violence taking place on the streets. Basically what America’s streets would look like if Trump was elected. Take a look:
Two years after choosing not to kill the man who killed his son, former police sergeant Barnes (Frank Grillo) has become head of security for Senator Charlene Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), the front runner in the next Presidential election due to her vow to eliminate the Purge.
The Purge: Election Year hits theaters on July 1st.
