With filming expected to begin in August, casting is well underway for Sony Pictures‘ new Jumanji movie. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he will star in the reimagining, while his Central Intelligence co-star Kevin Hart is reportedly set to join him. Now, another A-lister may join the cast.
According to The Wrap, actor Jack Black is in talks to join the cast of Jumanji. No details on his potential character are provided. But if a deal is closed, Jumanji would mark the latest family-friendly comedy on Black’s resume. His past credits include Kung Fu Panda and Sony’s Goosebumps.
Jake Kasdan is directing Jumanji, with a script written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. The film is set to hit theaters on July 28th, 2017. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
