First Trailer for McDonald’s Film ‘The Founder’ Starring Michael Keaton

A lot of buzz has circulated around the upcoming film The Founder shortly after it was announced. It is the story of how the fast food chain McDonald’s came to be and is described as The Social Network meets There Will Be Blood. If that isn’t enough, Michael Keaton was tapped to play the lead. The first trailer for the film has just hit the web and people are already talking about a potential Best Picture nominee for it. Check out the trailer below.

Written by Robert Siegel (“Big Fan”), “The Founder” is a drama that tells the true story of how Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a salesman from Illinois, met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers’ speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. He maneuvered himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire.

The Founder hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
