With Lionsgate’s The Divergent Series: Allegiant opening this week, the studio has taken the opportunity to drop a new trailer for Now You See Me 2, which, given the Lionsgate connection between the two, will likely mean audiences attending Allegiant will get this trailer ahead of the film.
A sequel to 2013’s surprise hit Now You See Me, this sequel once again features a big cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine who are all returning for this sequel. Lizzy Caplan (replacing Isla Fisher, who was pregnant at the time of filming) and Daniel Radcliffe join this one, the latter playing a villain. Here’s the trailer:
One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, The Four Horsemen resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.
Now You See Me 2 will appear in theaters on June 10th.
