Rumor: ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ May Add a Very Odd Character

While 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy was something new and refreshing from Marvel, it felt like it could have gone into the weirdness and campiness that is ever so present in this universe. While we were great by the awesome oddball The Collector, played by Benicio Del Toro, it appears that he might not return for the sequel because he is doing Star Wars: Episode VIII. However, rumor has it that another strange character may be joining Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

According to Geek.comEgo the Living Planet is set to appear in the film. In case you are unaware of who this character is, Ego was just a normal piece of space matter until a being known as The Stranger gave it consciousness. In a search to find himself, the living planet set out to destroy other planets and worlds.

While Ego may not be the main villain in the film, who wouldn’t pay to see Chris Pratt and Rocket Raccoon interact with a GIANT, LIVING PLANET. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
