The Hobbit and Dracula Untold star Luke Evans has joined the already-impressive cast of the big-screen adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ best-seller The Girl on the Train.
The actor joins the talents of Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux, Edgar Ramirez, Allison Janney, and Haley Bennett.
The thriller is about a recently divorced woman named Rachel (Blunt), who boards a train to London. While on the train, she witnesses “the perfect couple”, Scott and Megan. Along the way though, she gets entangled in a mystery surrounding the couple.
Evans will be playing a key role as the husband of a neighbor gone missing.
The Help and Get on Up helmer Tate Taylor will direct a script adapted by Erin Cressida Wilson.
The Girl on the Train hits theaters October 7, 2016.
