Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien’ Movie Pushed Back for ‘Prometheus 2’

With two Alien movies currently in development, it was always assumed that one of them would get pushed back and with Ridley Scott working hard on Alien: Paradise Lost, the sequel to the Alien prequel Prometheus, it appears that District 9 director Neill Blomkamp’s film will be delayed. Blomkamp took to his twitter to announce the following:

Blomkamp’s film is set to bring back Sigourney Weaver to her famous role of Ripley and continue from where James Cameron’s Aliens left off. While Alien: Paradise Lost has a release date of May 30, 2017, it is unknown when Blomkamp’s movie will release. Stay tuned for more Alien news in the days to come.
