For a 53 year old man, Tom Cruise is oddly at the peak of his action movie career. Most recently, he put his life on the line (multiple times) shooting Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and has also starred in big budget action movies like Edge of Tomorrow, Oblivion, and Jack Reacher. While Cruise is currently shooting Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and Mission: Impossible 6 soon after, he will be re-teaming with Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman for the sci-fi thriller Luna Park.
While not much about the project is known, Luna Park will reportedly follow a renegade crew of space workers who travel to the moon to get their hands on a secret energy source. Meanwhile, Variety is reporting that Jason Fuchs will pen the script for the film. Fuchs has most recently written Pan and the upcoming superhero film Wonder Woman. Luna Park does not have a release date as of yet but will most likely start production sometime in 2016.
