According to Variety, Scott Shepherd (Bridge of Spies) has closed a deal to join Matt Damon in the next installment of the ‘Bourne’ series. Plot details are unknown, but Shepherd will play the deputy director of the CIA.
Paul Greengrass is back to direct (his first since helming 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum) and will team up with Christopher Rouse for the script. Frank Marshall is producing alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment. Greengrass, Damon, Greg Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Rouse and Henry Morrison serve as executive producers.
Shepherd joins Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel, Tommy Lee Jones and Julia Stiles in the untitled film. Stay tuned for more news as it comes.
