Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most in-demand and hottest actresses around right now. She is wrapping up her leading role in The Hunger Games franchise, may finish her run as Mystique in next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, and is currently shooting the sci-fi film Passengers with Chris Pratt. Today, Lawrence is making headlines for her essay on the gender pay gap controversy in Hollywood. And now, she may have chosen her next film.
According to Variety, Lawrence is in talks to star in an untitled indie film written by acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky, who is making it his next directorial project. It is unknown which studio will distribute the movie, but given Aronofsky’s first-look deal with New Regency, it’s possible that that company may get a hold of it. He hopes to begin production this spring, and other actors are now being sought out for the movie. Aronofsky’s credits include The Wrestler, Black Swan, and (in my opinion) the awful Noah film.
Stay tuned for more news on this project as we have it.
