Watch Tom Cruise Hold His Breath for 6 Minutes in ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ Behind the Scenes

We have seen Tom Cruise hang from the ceiling, have a knife inches away from his eyeball, and climb the world’s tallest building but somehow he topped all of those multiple times in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Cruise attached himself to the side of an airplane as it took off into the air yet that wasn’t even the most exciting stunt in the movie.

For the underwater scene halfway through the movie, Cruise had to learn how to hold his breath for 6 full minutes. In a new behind the scenes video from Access Hollywood, we got a glimpse into what it was like for Cruise to prepare for the stunt. Cruise: “I had to prove to everyone that it was actually safe”

Watch the video here.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation will be out on Digital HD on November 17 and on Blu-Ray/DVD on December 15.
